Hartselle High School hosted its annual Homecoming Powderpuff game Oct. 3. After practicing for weeks prior to the event, students, players and parents crowded at J. P. Cain to cheer for their class’s team. The juniors placed in fourth after losing to both the sophomores and the freshmen. The freshmen landed in third. Next, the sophomores and seniors battled it out for the championship. The game proceeded into 3 overtimes; finally, the seniors and sophomores tied for first place. Students rushed from the games to their class’s float-building location and continued to work to get ready for Friday morning’s deadline.
