Our principal, Brad Cooper, is beginning his second year at Hartselle High School. This Jacksonville State University and Alabama University graduate is very excited for the new year at Hartselle. Before he moved to Hartselle High School, he served as principal at Arab Primary School, where he spent four years, then was principal of Arab High School for three years. When asked about his decision to move, he states, “There are very few schools I would leave Arab for, and Hartselle was one of those few.” During his time in school, he enjoyed playing football for Sardas High School, deer hunting, and fishing. Now, he loves watching Alabama football, watching all of Hartselle High School’s students participate in sports and other after school activities, and spending quality time with his family. He is happily married to his wife, Holly. They have children, Kati, the oldest child, is in 7th grade at Hartselle Junior High, Benjamin is in 6th grade at Hartselle Intermediate School, and Nadia is in 1st grade at Barkley Bridge. Upon asking what advice he would give to incoming freshmen, he said to “get involved, whether it’s sports, band, chorus, or any other after-school activities, get involved.” We are very excited that Mr. Cooper is our principal at HHS!
