Homecoming Recap

On Friday, October 4, during Hartselle High School’s (HHS) pep rally, the rankings of the homecoming yard decorations were announced. The points are calculated by judges based on how many events are won by each grade level. The sophomores won the best decoration and were closely followed by the seniors. These scores secured seniors a first place victory over homecoming week with 21 points, followed by the sophomores with 20 points. The juniors took third place in the yard decoration competition, followed by the freshman in last place. This gave the juniors 19 total points and the freshman took last place over the week with 9 points. Later that evening, during halftime of the football game, the presentation of the homecoming court took place as well as the announcement of the homecoming queen. Crowned by Seth McKee, HHS Homecoming King, Maddie Ferguson became the 2019 HHS Homecoming Queen. To top off the excitement of the week, the HHS football team won against Colombia with a score of 76-0. The 2019 homecoming week was a successfully full of fun and excitement.
