Hartselle High School Literary Magazine

The Hartselle High School (HHS) journalism team publishes an annual literary magazine that is compiled from submitted student work, such as art, poetry, photography and short stories. The magazine is open submission, so any HHS student is encouraged to contribute their own work to it, though, due to limited space, not all work will make the cut. This opportunity gives students a chance to have their work published and to be supported the local community. And let’s be honest: if you’re voluntarily reading the school newspaper, you’re the kind of person we want submitting. Hard copies of art can be scanned and emailed or submitted in person, and should be a modest size to account for scanning. Short stories should be limited to a 250 word count, poems should be limited to 75 lines, and photos should be 8”x10” or smaller. You can send your work to hartselletigertimes@gmail.com, see your English teacher, or go to Room 115 or 117 to submit it in person.
